These
are pimples on the face, chest or back or in scientific term it is called
as Acne skin disease. In its mild form, you may get a few scattered blackheads
or whiteheads, which come and go. Severe acne is persistent and you may get large,
swollen cysts. This type of acne may cover most of the part of your face, chest
or back. It is not contagious. Acne is most common in teenagers. Acne is built
into your genes; it runs in families. Hormonal
problems rarely cause acne. If acne is not treated, it may leave scarring. Because
of this, it is a good idea to treat it as soon as signs appear. See a doctor if
acne becomes severe. Small white spots or lumps on newborn babies are not pimples.
They are known as milia, and should not be squeezed. They are harmless and will
usually clear up without any treatment. Treatment

simple treatments from a pharmacy, such as benzyl peroxide 5% gel,
can help. Your doctor may prescribe a cream or lotion to help dissolve blackheads
and prevent new lesions forming. For severe pimples, taking antibiotic capsules
over a number of months is effective. They usually have few or no side effects
and are safe to take for a long time. A doctor who specializes in skin problems
can prescribe other effective treatments for pimples. You can avoid making it
worse by getting enough sleep and exercise, and generally living a healthy lifestyle.
Diet rarely plays any role in acne. However, it is always wise to choose a nutritious
diet from a mix of foods. Use loose face powder rather than liquid, creamy or
oily cosmetics while ever you have acne.
